Rooftop Malbec.

(Jacket, J.Crew; Sweater, J.Crew (recently worn here); Shirt, J.Crew; Denim, J.Crew; Shoes, Converse; Sunnies, Ray-Ban)

My sister Sam has a great rooftop at her East Village apartment. I'm lucky enough to live on the same street as her (only a couple avenues west!), making it easy to stop by for midday drinks and music with a view. As is gets chillier, I look forward to sipping cool weather wines like Malbec and sporting winter coats as an extra layer.

For this season, I just purchased this camel colored coat from J.Crew. I love the color because it goes with everything and like that it has a standing collar, making it slightly more modern. It is super warm with room to spare for layering underneath too, but doesn't have the look of a bulky jacket - which is key!

Neutral Knits.

(Sweater, Lafayette 148 (similar here); Pants, Theory (similar here); Shoes, Tory Burch (similar here); Hat; J.Crew; Bag, J.Crew (fall/winter hue here!); Sunnies, Ray-Ban)

When I bought these silk pants from Theory, I didn't realize how much I would actually find myself wearing them! Silk lounge pants are great to dress up with a heel or down with flats as I've opted for with a lightweight sweater, which is perfect for the current change of seasons. Even though these pants are as comfortable as wearing pajamas, they look much more appropriate for a casual day at work!

Weekend Wear.

(Jacket, Forever21 (similar here and here) ; Shirt, Madewell; Denim, DL1961; Belt, Madewell; Shoes, Michael Kors (similar here); Sunnies, Ray-Ban; Jewelry, Brighton, David Yurman, Tiffany & Co.)

I can't believe this weekend was my first full weekend staying in the city since I moved downtown. I'm happy I had the chance to take it all in while the weather is still warm. It was a particular treat for a couple of reasons: I had absolutely no official plans and my mom came in for a visit.  With no obligations, we took full advantage with some shoe shopping and a pitstop at Ed's Lobster Bar for a drink and clam chowder! There was even a cultural festival happening outside of my apartment with lots of live music, what fun!

A bit on what I'm wearing: Black and brown pair well together and my Michael Kors wedges are surprisingly very comfortable. I got them a couple of years ago, and while you may not be able to find the exact style, I have found that all the Michael Kors heels/wedges I own are great for comfort!

Jersey.

(Chambray, J.Crew; Dress, J.Crew; Necklace, J.Crew; Sunnies, Ray-Ban) Photog: Sam Laj.

I headed back to New Jersey this weekend to celebrate my dad's birthday and Father's Day. We had great weather that was perfect for a back yard barbecue and a comfortable maxi and worn in chambray seemed fitting for the occasion. Sam braided a fishtail for me, which is a fun alternative to the three piece braid. Now, if only I had less layers so it would have stayed in longer!

Studs and Stripes.

(Skirt, J.Crew (similar here); Top, J.Crew; Sunnies, Ray-Ban; Necklace, J.Crew; Purse, Rebecca Minkoff; Nails, Essie "Flirt")

I got this maxi from J.Crew back in March and finally feel like I can wear it! I checked out Katz's Deli in the L.E.S with my sister, Sam and parents this weekend and unbeknownst to us, it was actually their 125th anniversary. We had to wait in a bit of a line and once we got in it was still chaotic but totally worth it to check out this NYC fixture. Word of advice on the menu: get the pastrami, it's what they do best!

Greetings from Charleston.

(Shorts, Madewell; Belt, Madewell; Shirt, J.Crew; Vest, J.Crew (also seen here); Hat, Forever21; Scarf, Free People; Jewelry, J.Crew, David Yurman)

I can't believe my trip to Charleston is almost over! I feel like I've been on a Chucktown food tour for days. There are so many great restaurants, it is impossible to try them all in the few days we were staying downtown. If you are ever in the area, I would definitely recommend S.N.O.B for some lowcountry fare and Halls Chophouse if you're in the mood for a steakhouse and live music southern style. We'll be finishing off our trip at Wild Dunes on Isle of Palms, which is slightly outside of Charleston and on the beach. After lots of sightseeing, I'm excited for a few days in the sun!
