Black // Black.

(Pants, Theory (also seen here) Top, Club Monaco, here - ON SUPER SALE!; Sunnies, Ray-Ban; Boots, Madewell, Beanie, Club Monaco also on sale!)

So you know that feeling when you get in a rut with your wardrobe? Around about January-February without fail each year that is how I feel. I have a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear. Bored with my favorite sweater and jeans combo, actually bored with pretty much all my sweaters at this point and I'm in need of a wardrobe refresh or maybe in need of a trip somewhere warm (I'd love that too!).

While Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow earlier this week, the weather is still cold and we have snow forecasted in NYC. Enter winter sales. Everywhere. Some of my favorite go-to pieces that 1) I'm not sick of yet and 2) are super versatile have come from Club Monaco. While I did not get the beanie on sale (lucky you because it now is!), I did get this lightweight sweater turtleneck on sale. It is super comfortable and doesn't have too much "turtle;" as in thick like a shell and practically covers your chin. Yeah, this one is opposite of that so you can totally go out without feeling all bundled up. Just the way I like it.

If you're on the East Coast, this weekend is supposed to be b-e-a-utiful, so enjoy :)

Summer Breeze.

Currently dreaming of summer and thought I'd give you a closer look into those chicer suits, also known as one-pieces, whose plunging necklines and great attention to detail have me completely obsessed (and wishing I had at least one reason or occasion to actually wear something so elegant and stylish on the beach!).

Michael Kors

Balmain

Michael Kors
Balmain is always known for their innovative takes on classic pieces. By taking a simple black bathing suit and adding stunning cuts, the typical suit has become a red carpet look for the seas. MK adds flair with belting reminiscent of Halle Berry's unforgettable Bond suit.

While none of these suits are exactly what one would consider practical, one can dream, right?

Black, White, Bright.

(Fotog, S. Imparato outside Hearst Tower)
Some times, most times, keeping it simple looks best. Paired a sheer checked button down with the most comfortable pants from J.Crew. I wish they had these in more colors, they fit perfectly and feel like pajama pants. A basic palette really made my nail color pop (when my sleeve wasn't covering them!)!

Black & White Stripes.

(Shirt, Gap; Shoes, Vince Camuto, Jeans, DL1961 (seen here); Bracelet, J.Crew; Sunnies, Smith; Scarf, Bloomingdale's; Purse, Rebecca Minkoff)

The weather gets warmer and I automatically grab the first thing in my closet that resembles summer. Nautical stripes, though typically navy and white still maintain that crisp and clean vibe in a black and off-white hue. Make a regular scarf into a "circle scarf" to shake off it's winter feel.

Tuxedo.

(Shorts, Urban Outfitters; Mary Janes, Vince Camuto; Blouse, Joseph Gemma, Bracelet, J.Crew)
Our fashion closet was giving away some great pieces, I repeat - giving them away! I got my hands on this Joseph Gemma blouse and was so lucky that it was in my size! I think it's so different and a piece I would never actually purchase had I seen it in a store. I paired it with velvet shorts, don't know how much longer I'll be able to pull these off before I need to put them away for the season!
